David was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and joined Westminster in 2022. He is currently employed at Paradise Pool Service. In his down time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa and his son and daughter, Sammy and Aubrie. He and Melissa are expecting another baby girl in December 2024. David shares this testimony: “I grew up in many aspects like a typical Southern Baptist child would. Church every Sunday, baptized by the age of 8 on a ‘credible profession.’ Looking back, I know this not to be true, though my baptism was valid, my profession was anything but a mere outward formality. I knew nothing of sin, and as I grew into my teenage years it was evident I did not care to know the gravity of my sin either. This was the pattern that I followed through high school, a life of sin and love for it. By the age of 18 (2013) for reasons I do not recall any longer, I ended up at a local evangelical church, and it was then that the Lord began to work in me. By that summer my interest in religion had only grown. I went by the local Christian bookstore to pick up a book for my grandmother, and instead of giving it to her I began to read it myself. It was then that my eyes were opened, and I realized that I was a sinner condemned from Hell apart from the Lord Jesus, and that knowing him was more important than being able to breathe my next breath. From then on, thanks to the Lord I can say, that even through the valleys and pits I have found myself in at times, the Lord Jesus has sanctified me and moved me wherever He wills, proving myself to be a child of His, and for that I am grateful.”
